Hi! My name is Christie Yant. I’m a speculative fiction writer, Assistant Editor, narrator, podtern, and editorial minion.
I grew up in Santa Barbara, California. I wore a lot of black and wrote some terrible poetry during my high school years; fortunately all examples but one have been lost to time. In my twenties I made a couple of incomplete attempts at novels, and in my thirties I finally decided to try to learn how to write.
I have at various times been a member of Critters.org, Forward Motion, and IGMS Writer’s Groups, and a student and staff member at the Santa Barbara Writer’s Conference.
I live with my two awesome daughters, a terrible dog, and a thoroughly ridiculous cat. When I’m not at my day job in the software industry or working through my to-do list I’m usually procrastinating on Twitter, playing D&D, or enjoying local wines with friends.
